ECR NINETEENTH-CENTURY ART NETWORK

About the Network:

The network is formed of current PhD Students and ECR's working in Nineteenth-century visual culture. We have sessions monthly for students to virtually meet, allowing them to develop their skills and share their research. It is global, open to those located anywhere in the world who wish to join. Feel free to join, participate and we hope to create an engaging, diverse, fun and rewarding community.

About the Research Forum:

The ECR French Nineteenth-Century Art Network Research Forum is a virtually held research forum that allows recent PhD graduates, early career researchers as well as research fellows to present their most recent research. The forum aims to expose new and emerging scholarship and scholars engaging in exciting areas of research. The sessions will last around one hour with the opportunity to engage with the research with questions and answers after. The events are open to all.

Committee:

The network is organised by five committee members that ensure integrity, diversity, and inclusion in the network. The five committee members at present are as follows:

Dr. Rachel Coombs (University of Oxford)

Matthew French (University of Birmingham)

Dr. Nikki Georgopulos (University of British Columbia)

Jordan Hillman (University of Delaware)

Allison Perelman (Washington University in St. Louis)

Opportunities/Slack:

The ECR French Nineteenth-Century Art Network has a space for members to engage with the community via the Slack platform. Members are able to sign up, post funding, conference, and other opportunities as well as engage with other members through public discussion and private messaging. The platform can also be used to ask for help, advice or feedback with your research along with the opportunity to request help from fellow members, for example with access to primary and secondary resources.

Member Directory:

The network also has a member directory for members to find scholars working in their or different fields. To access the directory please add your details to the form, upon which you will be granted access to the member directory. Please use this to network with others working in the field of nineteenth century French visual culture. Please also send respectful requests and only make appropriate, professional contact with someone.
